Structured Cabling Labor Calculator
Estimate technician hours, crew days, labor cost, and a target-margin labor selling price for structured cabling projects.
Planning estimate only. Actual labor depends on pathway access, termination method, testing requirements, travel, lifts, firestopping, and project conditions.
The Professional Low-Voltage Estimator adds materials, markups, cable waste, travel, testing, contingency, tax, target margin, and estimate-vs-actual job costing.
View Professional Estimator — $79How this structured cabling labor calculator works
The calculator starts with the number of drops, base technician hours per drop, and a pathway difficulty multiplier. It then estimates total technician hours, converts those hours into crew days, applies your loaded labor cost, and calculates a labor selling price from your target gross margin.
Worked example
For 24 drops at 1.25 base labor hours each in a normal pathway, the estimate begins at 30 technician hours. A two-person crew would require about 1.9 eight-hour crew days before adding any separate project tasks.
What to include outside the calculator
